While the global economic crisis dominated the headlines in the international press during the first half of the year, we decided to do something about it. So we set up a flexible payment scheme that affords our customers plenty of freedom. Customers can now rent, lease, or finance their K4 Publishing Systems to boost efficiency and productivity without overtaxing their budgets in these unsteady times. A hosted solution or temporary system extension are also options, say to easily handle peak production periods. With K4 for rent, media houses, agencies, publishing houses, corporate publishers, and marketing teams still get to enjoy all the benefits of K4, such as the database, the server, and even the Adobe InDesign Server.
Of all new customers who have come on board recently two merit special mention : Esselte Leitz GmbH and the US health institute Omega. Both started using K4 to produce their catalogs and enjoyed tremendous - and confirmed - efficiency gains soon after adopting the system.
We've also been busy gearing up for our activities during the second half of the year. After a very successful showing at the Best of Corporate Publishing Awards in Berlin, where our customers won eight gold and silver awards, we will participate in the Symposium Unternehmensberichte, a German symposium on the production of company reports, to be held in Frankfurt this September. And we hope to see you again in October at the IFRA Expo in Vienna (hall A, booth 410).
