SoftCare K2: A true time saver at Printing Company Druckhaus Karlruhe

Some 30 employees work for the printing company specialized in publishing that is based in Karlsruhe near the river Rhine. They are in charge of creation and production of all print objects. In the future, editors that are working on remote sites or employees from other companies can view and edit documents in the current layout. Thanks to the new publishing solution SoftCare K2, the printing house can now save a lot of time during the production phase of the publications before they are printed and sent out.
Printing company Druckhaus Karlsruhe simultaneously manages ten periodically published magazines, mostly monthly publications for different industry sectors. Every month, Druckhaus Karlsruhe prints all in all approximately 400.000 magazines. Step by step publishing and corporate customers will switch to SoftCare K2. Until now, the finished pages and texts were transferred via CD to the printing house. In the future, employees of the publishing house can edit their contents directly on the pages. „It is immediately visible to all people involved how much space is to be used on the page“, says Layout Designer Alexander Rosenbaum. Editors and designers will be able to work on the same page at the same time. Pre-defined access rights offer a secure and efficient production workflow that can help the company save time and offer a much smoother workflow.
