Frau im Spiegel goes live on vjoon K4

The production of "Frau im Spiegel", a German yellow press weekly, with a coverage of 300.000 copies has successfully switched to K4. The first issue produced with K4 is now available: Our partner SNAP Innovation managed the switch of the production to K4 and Journal Designer within only a week – right after the whole editorial department moved from Hamburg to Ismaning near Munich. ”We heartly thank all our technical supporters who helped us to bring out the relevant issue just in time", says editor-in-chief Sabine Ingwersen in her editorial.
After all preparations the final switch to K4 and Journal Designer had to be completed within just seven days. This meant: editorial department, layout department, ad-planning and reproduction. All systems were installed and set up in Ismaning by SNAP Innovation. Together with the IT-team of "Westdeutscher Zeitungsverlag", the publishing house of ”Frau im Spiegel", SNAP Innovations managed to integrate the reproduction department in Dusseldorp via a user-to-user connection into the production process. ”Both – the established publishing system as well as the profound know-how of SNAP – have been the keyfactors of our successfull and smooth relocation of our editorial team", says Rüdiger Marten, Project Manager at "Westdeutscher Zeitungsverlag".
