June 19, 2008
More than 30 German Corporate Publishing experts came together on Thursday at Syspro's Forum of Corporate Publishing in Darmstadt, Germany to discuss innovative mediachannels as well as trends in the production process. ”The range of communication tools grows wider and wider", said Michael Höflich, CEO of FCP, the German Corporate Publishing association. ”Community Publishing and crossmedia concepts therefore gain strong influence on the success or failure of a company's communication."
How to respond to these and further challenges such as shrinking target groups and market fragmentation was part of the discussions and speeches. Klaus Kurz, Business Development Manager for Adobe for example suggested xml as the trend technology in order to optimize production processes. Furthermore Holger Kraemer, Director of Business Development for vjoon, and Florian Bläsing, Syspro, showed how the editorial workflow can be made more efficient by vjoon K4 Publishing solution. Bläsing underlined K4's benefits by giving illustrative examples from his long experience as a K4 integrator.
